King David, in the Bible, encouraged himself in the Lord during difficult times (1 Samuel 30:6-7).
As believers, we can draw strength from knowing God’s character and build our trust and faith in Him.
God is Love (1 John 4:8)
- God is not just loving; He is the definition of love.
- His love is directed towards us, and we can rest in the knowledge that His resources are available to us.
God is Faithful (Lamentations 3:22-23)
- God is unchanging, consistent, and true to His word.
- His faithfulness is compared to the sun, and we can rely on Him to keep His covenant with us.
God is Compassionate (Psalm 86:15)
- God is concerned about our well-being and the details of our lives.
- His compassion moves Him to act on our behalf.
God is Kind (Psalm 103:8)
- God is willing to make us happy and do us good.
- His kindness is everlasting and extends to many generations.
God is Merciful
- God’s mercy is unfailing, and we can approach His throne of grace to obtain mercy.
God is Jealous
- God’s jealousy is our defense, and He wants all of us without reservations.
God is Almighty (El-Shaddai)
- God is all-powerful, and His power is available to us for salvation and help.
God is Wise
- God’s wisdom helps us deal with situations and everyday life.
- We can trust Him to guide us through.
God is All-Knowing
- God knows everything and sees everything.
- His eyes are always on us to bless, guide, and give us an expected end.
God is Omnipresent
- God is everywhere at the same time, and He is with us.
- He promised not to leave us or give us up.
Remember, as a child of God, you are His masterpiece. Take heart, and encourage yourself in the Lord.
