Reflecting God’s Character: becoming the best version of yourself

Have you ever wondered about God’s character? Can you reflect God’s character?

“Have you ever wondered what it means to be the best version of yourself? It’s a question that has puzzled many of us for a long time. Spoilers alert it all fits perfectly with God’s Character

But, what if I told you that the answer lies in understanding God’s character?

When we look at God’s character, we see a God who is loving, kind, and compassionate. He is a God who wants the best for us, and who desires a personal relationship with each and every one of us. He is a God who is patient, merciful, and gracious.

As we seek to become the best version of ourselves, we must first look to God’s character as our example.

We must ask ourselves, “What would God do in this situation?” or “How would God want me to handle this?”

When we align ourselves with God’s character, we begin to see changes in our lives. We become more loving, more kind, and more compassionate. We become more patient, more merciful, and more gracious.

We start to see the world through God’s eyes, and we begin to live a life that is pleasing to Him.

So, let’s take a closer look at the 10 keys to becoming the best version of ourselves, through the lens of God’s character:

Finding our identity in God’s character

Just as God knows us intimately, we must come to know ourselves through His eyes. He often speaks about who he is and all he is capable of. We must also look to him to discover us.

Discovering our purpose –

God has a plan and purpose for our lives, and we must seek to discover it. Discover that one thing that God has made to make you tick and vibrate -that thing is found in God.

Surrounding ourselves with positive influences –

God is the greatest positive influence in everything and he is surrounded by light. Just like him, we should surround ourselves with light and people who bring the best out of us. The first is God.

Praying and seeking God’s face –

Prayer is our direct line to God, and we must use it to seek His guidance and wisdom. As he is Wisdom himself we must pray and stay in touch with him

Taking that first step towards freedom –

just as God freed us from sin, we must take steps to free ourselves from the things that hold us back. He said who I set free will be free indeed. Its who he is , its his character. Wherever he is there is freedom

Being thankful for the journey –

God is always with us, even in the tough times, and we must learn to be thankful for every moment. He said in all things give thanks and its the road map to peace, joy and victory

Letting go of limitations.

God is limitless, and we must learn to think outside the box and trust in His abilities. You are made after the image of the God who created the galaxies and all the wonder of the world .

Focusing on our strengths –

  • God has given us all unique gifts and talents, and we must use them to glorify Him. What you cannot do is none of your business focuses on what you can do. You are a success

Managing our time wisely –

God is a God of order and discipline, and we must learn to manage our time in a way that honors Him. He has given us dominion and power even over time.

No excuses –

God does not make excuses, and we must learn to take responsibility for our actions and our lives. He took the most responsibility when Jesus hung on the cross

As we seek to become the best version of ourselves, let us look to God’s character as our guide. May we become more like Him, and may we live a life that is pleasing to Him.”
